The UK's £2 billion vet industry is being looked at by the competition watchdog following concerns that pet owners are not getting value for money.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is launching a review of the sector, after their concerns that treatment is getting more expensive faster than inflation.
The CMA is worried pet owners are not given access to information about pricing and treatment options when deciding which vet to use.
