The pedestrian involved in Tuesday's bike collision has now sadly died in hospital.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday at approximately 10:40 AM along Horse Wynd in Edinburgh.
The victim, a woman, was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in the immediate aftermath of the accident.
However, despite medical efforts, her condition deteriorated, and she died on Friday.
The cyclist involved in the incident is a 20-year-old man. He was also taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for a thorough examination but was subsequently discharged.
Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick, representing Edinburgh's road policing unit, extended her condolences to the grieving family, recognising the profound difficulty of their current situation.
She emphasized that inquiries into the incident are actively ongoing as authorities work diligently to ascertain the complete circumstances surrounding the tragic collision.
