A man, reportedly the ex of lottery winner Jane Park, has been shot dead outside a New Year’s Eve party at an Edinburgh pub.
Newspaper reports have identified the victim as Marc Webley.
He was reportedly shot outside the Anchor Inn on Granton Road in Edinburgh.
Reports indicate that the 36-year-old fell victim to a gang-related shooting shortly before midnight.
Webley, previously convicted for involvement in a 2005 gangland shooting, was celebrating with friends when the fatal attack occurred, according to the Daily Record.
Condolences poured in after his brother Don shared a poignant photo of Webley on social media.
Among those grieving is Edinburgh's famed lottery winner, Jane Park, who had a relationship with Webley until recently.
In a heartfelt Instagram tribute, Park expressed deep sorrow, reminiscing about their time together.
Police Scotland has cordoned off parts of Granton Road and Granton Crescent, stating, "Road closures are in place while enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances."
The authorities have yet to provide further details on the incident.
