Lorraine Kelly's Portrait Unveiled at National Galleries of Scotland

A new portrait of Lorraine Kelly has been unveiled at the Scottish National Gallery, created by Brogan Bertie.

A striking new portrait of Scottish television icon Lorraine Kelly has officially been unveiled at the Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.

The artwork, created by Brogan Bertie, is the result of his win at the Sky Arts Portrait of the Year competition.

The portrait features the daytime television star seated cross-legged in an Orkney chair, adorned in a vibrant red tartan coat, with her loyal Border Terrier, Angus, by her side.

This impressive piece is now part of the National Galleries of Scotland's collection.

Brogan Bertie, the London-born artist who created the portrait, was awarded a £10,000 commission after beating out other talented artists in the competition.

The judges included Imogen Gibbon, Deputy Director of Portraiture at the National Galleries, who recognised Bertie's skill and creativity throughout the series.

The unveiling coincides with an open invitation for the public to visit the gallery for free to join in celebrating Lorraine Kelly's contribution to Scottish culture and media.

The portrait, commissioned by Sky Arts, is a fitting tribute to Kelly, who has captivated audiences for decades and continues to be one of the UK's most cherished television personalities.

Visitors can now admire Bertie’s artwork and pay homage to a true national treasure.
