Scotland's First Minister has told Laura Kuenssberg that a lack of 'moral courage' lies behind the failure to push for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Humza Yousaf appeared on BBC's Laura Kuenssberg show today (Sunday) talking about Scottish priorities but was also asked about the ongoing war on The Gaza Strip.

His 'in-laws' were notably stuck there in the early stages of the conflict as he pushed continuously for a cease-fire.

Yousaf told the BBC News programme that the reason most political leaders were not calling for an immediate ceasefire was a "lack of moral courage."

“I don't know how anybody can see that level of death and destruction and not call for an immediate halt, and an immediate ceasefire.”

He added that it shows "without a doubt" that people hold different values for Muslim or Palestinian lives.
