Edinburgh Airport recruit courier to fix 'baggage crisis'

Bosses at Edinburgh Airport have had to draft in a specialist courier company to help deal with an ongoing baggage crisis that they're facing.

Passengers at Edinburgh Airport have been growing frustrated at delays around the baggage reclaim belt, with some waiting two weeks for lost or stuck luggage to be returned to them.

It's reported that the terminal has been covered in abandoned baggage as the constant delays meant passengers had to go home without their possessions.

Social media has been plagued with comments about Scotland's major airport being full of abandoned luggage.

The airport isn't directly responsible for the handling of baggage but has been working with the firm Swissport to try and help remedy the situation.

They've now drafted in a company that will be expected to help reunite passengers with any missing luggage.
