A delay in reopening the closure on The Queensferry Crossing caused travel chaos this morning with miles of tailbacks still sitting in the southbound lane.
The roadworks currently being carried out on the bridge were significantly delayed in reopening.
The bridge has now reopened but the knock on effect means that there is still very heavy traffic (at time of writing) in the southbound carriageway.
The Edge Media Group understands that there were around 40 minutes of delays heading into Edinburgh on the M90.
