A despairing Fringer performer has seen a monumental turnaround in success after opening her show's run with 1 person in the audience to a sell-out the following evening.
Georgie Grier is currently performing in Sunsets until the end of The Fringe Run, and during her opening show, she was left feeling upset after there was just 1 person in the audience.
She wasn't left upset for long though, after household acting and comedy names like Jason Manford began to explain they had all suffered the same situations when they were cutting their teeth in the capital.
We’ve ALL done it. Soon, you’ll dine out on this anecdote. More than once I had to buy my audience a drink, as a thank you for being the only ones there. Best thing though, it’s all stage time, and the show will get better every single time, ready for the big crowds later!

Yes it’s fine. You did your thing. When is it on in London? 🥰

Just wanted to lend our support and tell you we've all been there.

Our first time at the #edfringe, Big Bear and I were performing our #GetUpAndGo childrens show to just one person, an adult. Mid-show I turned to get my guitar to play a song, and the one audience member left. pic.twitter.com/gJSsl7gBFG
