Ewen Macintosh, known for playing Big Keith from The Office, has died at 50

Ewen Macintosh, who was best known for his role as ‘Big Keith’ in The Office, has died aged 50 according to co-star and comedian Ricky Gervais.

Gervais called Macintosh “An absolute original” and said it was “extremely sad news”.

In the few minutes since the comedian shared the news of Macintosh’s death on X, formerly Twitter, thousands of likes and comments poured in remembering their favourite moments of his on screen.

He also starred in Ricky Gervais’ Netflix show Afterlife as ‘Buffet Man’ who had contacted his local paper after he was banned from an all you can eat buffet, telling Gervais who played a journalist that they were misleading him.

In episode three, Ewen plays a fells who gets chucked out of an all-you-can-eat buffet for eating too much
