This by-election aims to fill two vacant councillor positions in Collinton and Fairmilehead.
Residents of Colinton/Fairmilehead, Scotland are reminded that voting takes place on Thursday in the second by-election of the past three months. This by-election aims to fill two vacant councillor positions, with the opportunity for voters to choose the candidates they want serving them until the 2027 council elections.
A significant portion of eligible voters, with 5,379 individuals, have decided to exercise their right to cast their vote by post. On January 23rd, polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm at the following locations:
Charwood
Fairmilehead Parish Church Hall
St. Cuthbert’s Episcopal Church Hall
Oxgangs Neighbourhood Centre
Pentland Community Centre

The electronic election count will take place on Friday 24th January starting at 10am. The two successful candidates will then attend the full council meeting at 2pm on Friday afternoon to vote on introducing the Visitor Levy in Edinburgh.
