Heritage Charity Seeks Local Input on Historic Edinburgh Landmark

The Royal Highland School Preservation Trust is seeking input from the community regarding the building's heritage and the upcoming National Centre for Music.

As the extensive restoration of the former Royal High School on Calton Hill in Edinburgh progresses, The Royal Highland School Preservation Trust overseeing the project is seeking input from the community regarding the building's heritage and the upcoming National Centre for Music.

They want to gather insights on potential stories and activities that could take place once the venue opens.

The Trust, a charity dedicated to preserving and repurposing the iconic Thomas Hamilton structure, invites local residents to participate in a survey that will guide the detailed planning for the building's future use after redevelopment.

In addition to exploring community perspectives on the building's history and heritage, the Trust is also interested in hearing what types of music performances, events, and activities the public would like to see featured at the National Centre for Music.

They are particularly keen to understand any accessibility needs the community may have.

You can find the survey and have your say here.
