Edge Radio can exclusively reveal that 24 out of 50 police officers in Edinburgh left Police Scotland within the first year of service.
Police Scotland told Edge Radio that during 2023, 50 new police officers were recruited to their Edinburgh Division - yet by the start of this year, 24 of those new officers have already left the force.
We also asked Police Scotland about levels of diciplinary action for Police Officers working in The Scottish Capital.
A total of 17 officers from Edinburgh Division were subject to formal or management action disposals between 01/03/2023 and 29/02/2024 inclusive.
In addition, a total of 35 officers from Edinburgh Division were subject to a preliminary assessment under the Conduct regulations between 01/03/2023 and 29/02/2024 inclusive.
