The second year of the St James Quarter Sessions is underway in Edinburgh.
This free music festival, situated right in the centre of the city, showcases a wide array of incredible musical talent. During the month of August, the shopping centre has been alive with a series of busking performances, featuring artists every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, buskers have been performing from 12pm, 3pm and 5pm.
The main festival will run from Friday 16th until Sunday 25th August with 80 acts playing across the six venues within the Quarter.
This year introduces a new rooftop stage that offers breathtaking views of the castle, Arthur’s Seat and Calton Hill.
With a diverse range of music styles, there’s something for everyone—from live acoustic sets and DJs to full band performances. The mix of genres vary from indie rock, jazz fusion, R&B, hip hop and so much more.
