Prior to the show, Cardi B shared a video on her Instagram story, expressing her plight: "I am fighting for my life right now. I’m literally fighting for my life right now." She attributed her illness to her arrival in Miami, claiming she felt unwell shortly after landing.
Joined by fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, the event also featured performances by Ellie Goulding, Janelle Monae, 30 Seconds To Mars, and Renee Rapp.
