Big Brother brings in 2.5 million watchers for its ITV launch this week

As 16 new housemates entered the Big Brother house for the first time in five years, many people were ecstatic for the iconic show's return, some weren't convinced...

The Noughties reality show began first on Channel 4, then moved to Channel 5 and is now back with a bang on ITV (literally if you consider Jenkin's Suitcase).

First housemate Jenkin, 25, was on the wrong end of the housewarming games losing his suitcase, hot water and accidentally putting fellow housemate  Olivia in the running for elimination.

The house has been upgraded and upholstered and it's not the only thing that's been changed, some people were less than happy that the original presenters Davina McCall and Emma Willis were nowhere to be seen and have been replaced by AJ Odudu and Will Best.

The official launch on Sunday got mixed reactions from outlets, the Telegraph thought it was "fun" but the Times compared the show's resurrection to "a Noughties fossil".

However, the OG presenter of the show wrote that she has "FOMO" from watching the show at home.

Reviews on X were mixed with some people super excited for the show's return while other thought it was a bust.

However, with Married at First Sight, The Kardashians and The Traitors ready to sync up on our screens how will people decided where there reality show loyalties lie?
