A Scottish beautician has slammed Ryanair's seatbelts after a humiliating experience, where she struggled to fit into one.

Katie Higgins flew from Glasgow Airport to Cork to visit her friends and family in Ireland using the low-cost airline.

33-year-old Higgins wrote on social media: "how in holy hot hell is this normal" adding many people would 'feel ashamed' and find the incident embarrasing.

"People have had to request extender belts. They've felt mortified and like it's been just them so I'm letting you know IT'S NOT JUST YOU."

The blogger, who goes by the name Katie's Curvy Closet posted photographs showing the ill-fitting seatbelt onboard the aircraft.
