Hardeep Singh Kohli has been charged and is due in court at a later date in connection with “non-recent” sexual offences.
The 54-year-old former Celebrity Big Brother star has been bailed to appear in court at a later date according to Police Scotland.
Mr Kohil has presented a number of television programmes, and also saw success in the kitchen, when he claimed second place on Celebrity Masterchef in the noughties.
A summary of offences has been prepared for the prosecutor fiscal according to Police Scotland.
His arrest follows an investigation into allegations made by a number of people which was published by The Times newspaper.
