Edinburgh's Hogmanay have officially announced that Scottish music legends, Texas will take centre stage at the iconic event.
On December 31st, the world-famous Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party will welcome 45,000 revellers to the city centre and Princes Street, and this year they can look forward to live music, DJs, international street theatre, exciting rides, and a wide array of food and drinks.
But they will also get to experience the beloved band, Texas as well as special guest Callum Beattie, and the host of the evening, award-winning comedian Susie McCabe.
Following a series of sold-out arena shows and rave reviews across the UK, including two successful nights at the Glasgow Hydro, Texas will make history as the first band to headline Edinburgh’s Hogmanay three times.
This performance marks their first Hogmanay appearance in nearly 20 years, with their last show at the festival taking place in 2005.
Led by the multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Sharleen Spiteri, Texas will perform against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, featuring one of the world’s most spectacular New Year fireworks displays, delivering a celebration of their greatest hits, including "I Don’t Want a Lover," "Say What You Want," and "Inner Smile”.
Tickets for the Concert in the Gardens go on sale on Friday, September 20, at 10:00 AM.
