Oscar 2025 Nominations Announced

Emilia Pérez, the French Spanish-language musical about a Mexican drug lord, topped the nominations with 14, including Best Picture.

The nominations for the 97th Academy Awards were unveiled on Thursday morning during a ceremony hosted by presenters Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang. The ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles have prompted numerous adjustments within the awards season, leading to the rescheduling of the nominations announcement date multiple times before it was finally confirmed for today.

The Oscars are set to be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at their traditional venue, the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The three-hour ceremony will kick off at 4 PM PST, which will be midnight for viewers in the UK.
