Olly Murs has revealed he received a call from ITV to say that he wouldn't be a coach on the show again after the latest series airs later this year.

The singer, who shot to fame on The X-Factor, told The Sun newspaper that it wasn't his decision to be leaving the show.

Murs told the paper: “I’m gutted. I got the call last week to say I won’t be back on the show, and it’s a bit of a shock, to be honest. I didn’t really expect that to come.

“But I don’t want to sit here like other artists might, and shine and gloss this up and say, ‘It was my decision’. I don’t want to do that.”

Olly said he accepts ITV and Lifted Entertainment's decision, and hopes they find someone great to replace him.

Murs added he would still watch the show but always feel sad it wasn't him doing it.
