Gladiator revival draws MASSIVE audience

The revival of the iconic competition show Gladiators drew a substantial audience, with an average of six million viewers tuning in for its return on BBC One.

Hosted by father and son duo Bradley and Barney Walsh, the hour-long program peaked at 6.4 million viewers during its launch episode.

The episode featured classic challenges like The Eliminator and Duel, along with the introduction of a new game called Ring. The Gladiators lineup includes names like Apollo, Athena, Legend, Fire, and more.

Originally airing from 1992 to 2000 on ITV, Gladiators was a massive success, regularly attracting a double-digit viewership.

The recent revival, while not directly comparable due to changes in audience habits and rating calculations, showcases the enduring popularity of the format.

Other hit competition shows, such as Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, have also maintained strong viewer numbers in recent broadcasts.
