Girls Aloud Announces 2024 Reunion Tour Honoring Late Bandmate Sarah Harding

The iconic British girl group Girls Aloud is set to reunite for a poignant 2024 arena tour in tribute to their beloved late member, Sarah Harding - and they'll be coming to Scotland.

The announcement of the tour arrived in a heartfelt video featuring Nadine Coyle, Cheryl, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh, as they reminisced at a drive-in cinema watching clips of their chart-topping hits.

The tour, described as a heartfelt "celebration of Sarah, our music and our incredible fans," will commence on May 18 in Dublin, traveling across cities like Manchester, Cardiff, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Nottingham, Leeds, and Birmingham. The tour will culminate with a two-night performance at London’s O2 Arena and conclude at the Liverpool M&S Bank Arena on June 29.

Following Harding's passing due to breast cancer in 2021, Roberts expressed their commitment to honoring her legacy, stating, “We’re going to do our absolute utmost to celebrate her in the most enormous, magical way.”

While confirming the reunion tour's authenticity, Coyle clarified that no new music or videos are in the works, except for a commercial shoot. Cheryl expressed the sentiment of creating new music without Harding, stating, “Making new music without Sarah would be odd, but celebrating what we made together? Fabulous.”

Formed in 2002 through the reality show Popstars: The Rivals, Girls Aloud achieved massive success with four UK number one singles and a Brit award for The Promise. Their upcoming reunion marks a powerful return following their 10th-anniversary celebration and a planned 20th-anniversary reunion disrupted by Harding’s illness.

Acknowledging the challenge of performing as a foursome, Roberts admitted, “It’s not going to be easy for us to put a show together with four people, instead of five.” Cheryl added, “It hasn’t felt right, until now, to do anything without her, but now we feel strong enough, emotionally.”

Coyle hinted at the possibility of incorporating Harding’s original vocals into the show, adding a sentimental touch to the performances.

For eager fans, a pre-sale for tickets will commence on November 29 at 9 am, followed by the general sale on December 1 at the same time, promising a memorable and emotional experience as Girls Aloud reunites to honor the legacy of Sarah Harding through their music and unity.
