An enormous container ship, called the Ever Given, that has been blocking the Suez Canal, and causing huge delays to the global transportation infrastructure, has finally been freed.
Each day that the boat has been stuck there has cost the global shipping industry in excess of £7 Billion. The local authorities confirmed that the boat has been corrected by 80%. The final phase of moving the boat shall resume later today (Monday) thought to be around 9.30 AM when the tide comes in.
The ship is now 102 metres clear of the shoreline. After the final phase resumes this morning (Monday) there are thought to be over 300 ships waiting to pass that are blocked by the 200,000-ton ship.
