Line of Duty has had its final episode trailer released by the BBC ahead of the eagerly anticipated finale next week.

The BBC One anti police corruption drama, from Jed Mercurio, secured its most-watched episode yet on Sunday night.

The penultimate episode secured an average of 11 million viewers.

And next week’s promises to be a barnstormer.

The finale – starring Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar and Martin Compston, with Trainspotting star Kelly Macdonald who joined the cast for this series – airs next Sunday at 9pm.

There are plenty of resolutions to be made in the final edition, including the identity of H, or the Fourth Man.

Line of Duty will also attempt to wrap up Steve Arnott’s medical issues, as well as Ted Hastings’ impending retirement.

The trailer shows Kelly McDonald’s Jo leaving in handcuffs having been jailed at the end of episode five.

We also see Kate Fleming yelling “armed police” and Steve emerge from a police van waving a gun, shouting “down!”

A close of up of the word ‘definite’ is shown, with Kate, Steve and Hastings looking serious!
