Falkirk locals have been left feeling uneasy after a person dressed as a plague doctor was spotted near a school.

On the 11th of March, residents claimed to have seen a person dressed in the medieval clothing outside of Bo’ness Academy.

Plague doctors treated victims of the Bubonic plague in 1645. The motive behind the outfit and identity of the person wearing it is still unknown.

Debbie More, who took the above photo, was at home when she spotted the person in the school’s playing field from her window.

One woman who was dropping her son off at Bo’ness Academy said: “I happened to look around and seen this person standing at the front of the school. I told the janitor as I was driving away who then went and spoke to him.”

Falkirk Council have confirmed they are aware of the sightings.
