A range of different organisations have compiled information on coronavirus that is specific to individual circumstances

Latest Coronavirus Update:

-12 people with Covid have died in the last 24 hours

-625 new cases of COVID-19 reported (3% of tests) 

-422 people in hospital (-18)

-38 people in ICU (-4)

Deaths have fallen by more than three quarters since the third week in January.  It’s the first time this year deaths have been below the five-year average for this time of year.

Vaccination update:

– 1,981,818 people have now received a first dose, that’s up 38,311 since yesterday.

– 181,879 people have now also had a second dose, that’s up 10,987 since yesterday

First Minister says they are still on target for mid-April vaccination deadline.

An updated testing strategy is to be published today for businesses. It provides details of a new genomic sequencing strategy that will help identify new strains and stop them spreading.

First Minister confirms people who are shielding can return to work (if they can’t work from home) on April 26th. This applies even if you’ve had both doses of the vaccine.

First Minister says foreign travel ‘probably won’t’ be possible for some time to come. It’s set for review on May 17th but restrictions likely to last past then
